Yesterday i picked up my car from Dinitrol in Glostrup after being treated with Dinitrol rust prevention “oil”. It looks terrible for any car enthusiast but this really longens the life of the car when it lives in Denmark as this one does. Hopefully this will make the car last for ever and ever and ever and…..

Tinted windows on the Outback
What is a car without modications. Today we had the windows tinted on the Subaru Outback. When you have owned a car with tinted windows it’s hard to live without it. The kids love it and the car doesn’t get as warm in the summer when parked in the sun.

Our new Outback – family cruiser
Last week we finally decided to let our Subaru Legacy 2.5i Wagon from 2005 go and bought a Subaru Outback 2.5i automatic from 2007 which I must say is a much better cruiser than the Legacy. It features 2-zone airconditioning, vcd(esp), xenon headlights and automatic levelcontrol on the rear dampers as well as the standard Subaru symetric AWD.
I haven’t had an oppotunity to take proper photos of it so for now it’s only pictures from my HTC phone.
I finally found some photos taken of my car while I was driving around the track. You can find them in the bottom of this gallery.
Bridgestone RE070 busted :-(
After showing the pictures from my trip to Ring Knutstorp last week to one of my friends I was made aware of a small dent in the sidewall of the front wheel. Turns out it is kinda pushed inwards where the red-arrow is. I am hoping that I can have it deflated, refitted and inflated to make it pop back out. Maybe some of the threads inside the tyre is broken and then there is not way back other than replacing it.
I am definately staying with the Bridgestone RE070 tyres. They are absolutely the best tyres I have ever had on my Subaru Impreza – Oh! And the rim didn’t get a single scratch – lucky me .

Trackday @ Ring Knutstorp 2006-06-02
Thanks to MS-Racing I was able to attend my first trackday at Ring Knutstorp, Sweden in my Subaru Impreza. It was a sunny day with about 20 degrees (celsius) and lots of exotic cars. Lindebjerg Carparts was also present and had brought a small vararity of helmets, shoes and gloves from Sparco and some great parts catalogues to look at. Besides from a single spin after “Tändstiften” which made my car cross the racetrack twice before I was able to bring it to a stop I had no accidents.

Brake upgrade to my Subaru Impreza 2.0R
So i bought a couple of 4 pot calipers from a 2006 Impreza WRX. They are easy to fit an no special parts needed. I bought a set of new brakediscs and pads as the ones that I got with the calipers were worn down pretty much.
The discs are DBA4000 295mm and the pads are Mintex 1144 which provides enough stopping power for this car.
